  • Weather Sentry has determined that the immediate threat has passed and the lightening/severe weather is greater than eight (8) miles away.

  • Thirty (30) minutes have passed since the last lightning strike that was within 8 miles and severe weather has left the area.

Once severe weather is at least eight (8) miles from the venue and it is safe to return to the facility, an “all clear” will be sounded. An “all clear” is indicated by 3 short horn blasts on the game scoreboard. Thirty (30) minutes must pass without observing lightening before athletic activity is resumed. There will be a 5-10 minute evaluation/warm up period after the all clear signal has been given before competition is resumed.
